RIDE ONSample
DAY 5
You need your own ticket.
At the entrance to the parking garage, I learned the hard way that I had to get my own ticket and not depend on someone else to get me inside. The bar came down on me because sensors on the ground detected the weight of Jason’s bike. As soon as he passed over the line, the gate automatically fell, denying me access to the garage in a painful way! The ticket was free–but I had to get my own.
The Bible tells us that there’s only one way to be granted access into Heaven. The one way is through Jesus. He’s the only One who could pay the price of the entrance fee. The ticket is free for all who turn to Jesus, repent of their sins, and invite Him into their heart. It is a free gift, purchased by the blood of Jesus, but it has to be individually received.
In conclusion, I’ve often said that God never wastes our tears. My prayer for all who are reading this: The hit to my head will have been worth the pain if it opens someone’s eyes. Take it from me, it’s much wiser to learn from someone else than to learn the hard way!
Hold your line, learn from the past, be prepared, and get your own ticket before it’s too late.
Someday the gate will shut for all eternity. I pray your ticket will be in hand.
