Your attitude makes you a winner

“My one friend is always positive even though things have been really tough for her since her dad died. People love being around her and she has many friends. Another friend sulks and complains about everything, and he doesn’t understand why nobody wants to hang out with him.”

Your attitude can be more important than your intellectual ability. A person with average ability and a brilliant attitude is more likely to succeed than a brilliant person with a bad attitude. In my business career I’ve studied hundreds of cases of success and failure. The one common factor among all those who are successful is their attitude. It’s more important than looks, education and circumstances.

You can choose your attitude

The good news is that God gave you the freedom to choose the attitude you want. It’s something you can have overnight, and some of the elements include:

A positive approach. 

The willingness to undertake whatever task is necessary.

Being flexible. 

Being reliable. 

Listening properly. 

Searching for the solution. 

Being enthusiastic. 

Making an effort. 

Being able to laugh at yourself.

You’ll find that if you adopt a positive attitude, everything around you suddenly looks brighter and works better. And remember: You might not be able to choose your circumstances or undo the past, but you can always choose your attitude and how you’ll respond to life’s challenges. Prayer

Dear God, please help me to develop a really great attitude, and please:

- Help me to tackle each task with enthusiasm and a positive approach.

- Remind me to smile. Help me to be an optimist, and to see the good in others.

- Free me from negative emotions.

- Let love be at the core of all my words and actions.

- Remind me not to take myself too seriously.
