God is Love
Pause and thank God for His love, demonstrated in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The cross stands at the heart of the Christian faith. No other god or power loves like this, gives themselves like this, or dies like this. The power of God’s love is counter to earthly power. It doesn’t seek to manipulate others into particular action, nor does it bully and coerce in order to provoke fear. It can look weak – as did Jesus on the cross. Yet at the cross, love is revealed as victorious.

About this Plan
We love because God first loved us. Until we have received God’s love, and grasped its breadth, height, and depth, our attempts to love others will falter. Our love is a response to meeting the God who is love, and allowing ourselves to be loved by Him. This 40-day prayer journey focuses on investing time in receiving God’s love, being changed by that love, and responding to that love.
