The Basic Training Challenge – Mail CallSample

Day 13 — Never Quit
Pray:
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.
Read: 1 Peter 1:1-25
Reflect
Winston Churchill was the prime minister of England and a masterful genius of wartime strategy. “Never quit,” was one of Churchill's favorite quotes. It not only spurred a tired nation, it helped win a World War. A war is not won by one battle. As a protective force, we must be constant and vigilant. We must stay alert. We must be obedient to our Commander. What does it mean to live a holy life? What does Peter say we need to keep on doing (v.22)? Toward whom do I need to be more loving?
Respond
Lord, help me to be alert and ready. Prepare me for the mission You give me. Show me, Lord. Amen.

About this Plan

We all need instructions, even marching orders. God’s provides these instructions through a series of letters that we find in the New Testament. The Basic Training Challenge gives you a starting point to learn about God’s mission for you here on earth. Similar to your basic training, this plan will challenge you to get spiritually fit in God’s Word.
