The Basic Training Challenge – The Church Then And NowSample

Day 9 — Passage of Lines
Pray:
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.
Read: Acts 12:1-25
Reflect
King Herod killed and tortured many followers of Jesus, including the apostle James. King Herod would eventually meet his own death at the hands of an angel of God. After killing James, what was King Herod’s plan for Peter? What happened to Peter instead? What happened to Herod? How am I trusting God right now?
Respond
Lord God, You will always be my strength and power. Show me how to stand up to people who would do me harm because of my love for You. When I face adversity, help me to always praise Your name. Amen.

About this Plan
