Finding Your Purpose Through God

We now have seen how all of humanity was designed to give God glory, but how can you find your specific purpose in life?

By trusting in the Lord.

While this may sound too simple (or perhaps even cheesy), it is exactly what the Lord calls us to do, and the more we do it, the easier it becomes.

See, we have to remember that God created all of us, and as a perfect, all-knowing God, He has a plan for our life. We just have to trust Him to lead us in that plan, and fortunately, He gives us His Spirit to guide us every step of the way. 

This is what it means to trust in the Lord. He has given us the answers through the scriptures, but we often don’t trust Him enough. We think our way is better or that He’s missing something. 

This is nothing new for humanity. When Adam and Eve first sinned, it was because they did not fully trust in God. He told them not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but they did not trust that His way was best. Instead, they fell into the Serpent’s temptation and turned their back on God, fracturing humanity’s relationship with Him. 

Now, our natural tendency is to not trust God, which is why He sent His son to die for us. Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, we were given His Holy Spirit so that we could once again have the power to trust in Him. 

The scriptures today give clear direction on how we live out our purpose. By following His word, we can walk in the ways He has for us.
