Our Response - To God's Plan For Our LifeSample
Consequences For Staying Outside Of God’s Plan
"Then I will tell them plainly, ‘ I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! "
God is gracious and merciful. He does not treat us the way our sins deserve. He is waiting for us to return to Him. We are off the mark if we think that our lifestyle on earth is the indicator to measure God’s blessings or consequences. Our true benefits and outcomes are in eternity.
Are we ready to do what God wants us to do? Our choices on earth determine where we spend our eternity.
In the timeline of eternity,
our life on earth is a dot.
Our choices during this dot,
determine our destiny for eternity…
When we are available to be part of God's plan for humanity, doing what God wants us to do rather than doing what we think is right, then we can be assured of being with God in eternity.
Why are God’s terms so significant and essential? Mathew 7 warns us about those who prophesy in God’s name, drive out demons and perform many miracles, yet the Lord does not know them as they did not do the will of the father in heaven. It is clear from this passage that choosing to do what God wills is a priority over what we do in God’s name.
The journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the promised land is a classic example of this. After seeing God’s mighty acts against the Egyptians, God wanted His people to trust Him and follow Him wholeheartedly. Only Joshua and Caleb who left Egypt entered the promised land. Moses and Aaron whom God chose to lead, lost this privilege when they failed to exalt God by smiting the rock to provide water instead of by speaking to it. The people grumbled, complained, and rebelled. God’s patience ran out when the people failed to trust Him after hearing from the spies who brought fear about the land of Canaan.
We do not need to fear the consequences on earth as God’s grace and mercy will sustain us as long as we have a relationship with Him. What is important is the consequence of where we spend our eternity if we do not have a right relationship with Jesus.
Heaven and Hell are real …where will we spend our eternity?
About this Plan
Is God's plan different from what the world calls ‘Fate’? If God has planned our life, where is our choice? Is it logical for God's plan and our free will to co-exist?
