Walking In Victory Sample

Joshua lead the people to do exactly as God had commanded them to do. They circled the city once a day for six days, and when the seventh day came, they marched around the city seven times. On the seventh round, the priests blew the trumpets, the people shouted and the walls of Jericho fell down, exactly as God had told them that would happen. Once the walls fell, the Israelites took Jericho.
Now, this was an important victory. Not only because the Israelites took a highly fortified city like Jericho, but because it made Joshua (and His God) famous in all the land. Imagine how the Canaanites would feel when they heard about the walls of Jericho falling down and the city being destroyed.
God was with Joshua and He magnified his name in the land. The victory over Jericho was performed in a way that gave all the credit and all the glory to God. God may and will do great things in our lives. When He does, be sure to give God the glory.
Dear God, I know that, as You were with Joshua, You are with me today. Help me see You in everything I accomplish and give You glory. I pray that everybody knows that all the wonderful things in my life come from you. In Jesus name. Amen.

About this Plan

The book of Joshua teaches us to remember the promises God has given us and to trust God in everything He gives us to do. The same God who was with Joshua and the Israelites is with us today. He has given us the same promises and He wants us to claim the inheritance He has already given us. We pray this study helps you start walking in victory!
