Upsidedown Kingdom - Lessons from the Sermon on the MountSample

This prophecy of Ezekiel was written during a time when the Israelites were in exile and the temple had just been destroyed. All hope for what Israel could and should have been has been lost. That is, until God delivers this message to them through Ezekiel, starting in verse 22. This is the hope they had been waiting for since Moses first spoke of it in Deuteronomy 30:6. This was the cure for their underlying condition of sin. But they wouldn’t quite get it yet…they’d have to wait till Jesus comes on the scene. As you read this passage, reflect on your own heart and how God has changed it, softened it, and shaped it to be bent towards Him.
As you read the following scripture, take a few moments to meditate on the word of God, then respond to the following questions:
- What has God revealed to you about His kingdom?
- What has God revealed to you about the King?
- What has God revealed to you about being a citizen of the new kingdom?
- Now, ask the Holy Spirit to provide you opportunities to live into God's kingdom today!

About this Plan

In the world that we live in, things are not as they should be. One might even say they are upside down. However, the good news is that Jesus came to turn this world right side up. What if our eyes were opened to the REALITY that the kingdom of heaven is in fact here?
