[The Lord Keeps You Safe Series] God Hears Your CriesSample
The Lord will Satisfy You
What is it that you are missing today? Perhaps you cannot even describe what is missing. Is it peace? Is it unsatisfied desires? Are you looking for rest? Maybe your soul is tired and weary, and you really need a break from all your fears and troubles.
Satisfaction and satisfied desires will come your way as you start worshiping God. When we open our hearts to God and start declaring how wonderful and mighty he is, something happens in the atmosphere that surrounds us. There is a shifting of perspective, and the magnitude of our fears and troubles becomes nothing compared to God’s love and hand among us.
This is how the psalmist guides us in worship today—he starts by declaring these truths:
· God keeps his word, he does everything he says he will do.
· God gives a helping hand to those who stumble or fall.
· God provides food to those who depend on him, at the right time.
· God satisfies the desires of all those who worship him.
· God is near to everyone whose prayers are sincere.
· God saves those who ask for help.
· God takes care of those who love him and destroys the wicked.
The psalmist closes his song of worship praising God, praising his holy name forever. How can you not lift your voice to heaven and worship your Heavenly Father after realizing all the good things he does for us? How can you not put your trust in the One who gave his life for you and took your place at the cross?
He will give you ultimate satisfaction; nothing in this life will ever satisfy you as God does. No one will ever understand you as he does. Thank him, start and finish your day remembering that God hears your prayers. When you worship him, you get your focus off yourself and your problems and you direct your attention back to God. He is worthy of our praise, no matter what we face from day to day.
