IDENTITY MARKER 4 – KNOW WHERE YOU ARE SEATED

Where are we seated? Paul boldly proclaims that we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. How incredible is that? This is the position we pray from. Sometimes I feel like I am praying from the miry clay, or the midst of the fire but I have to remind myself of this scripture and my identity in Christ. In Him, I am seated in heavenly realms with Christ. A seated position is one of security and authority. Christ has gained all the authority in Heaven and on Earth and we sit in that authority in Him. I find that so amazing, overwhelming and humbling all at once.

So remember, we don’t pray from a position of defeat. We pray from a position of authority in Christ. Being firmly grounded and established in Him, we know our identity.
