Walking With JesusSample
Obedience To the Will of God
God requires obedience from us more than sacrifice. God did not give the Jews the “Ten Suggestions,” but he gave them the “Ten Commandments”.
Self-discovery:
- Obedience to the word of God. (James 1:19-24)
- God’s promise when we obey Him. (Deuteronomy 11:26-28)
- What should we do? (Luke 6:31-32)
- The will of God for our lives. (Psalm 32:8; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Ephesians 2:10)
- Is it possible to stay within the will of God? (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Reflection questions (write your answers in a journal):
- What relation is there between loving God and obeying His commandments?
- According to Proverbs 3:5-6, what are the prerequisites for God to direct our paths?
