FALLING SHORT
There was a period of time in my wife and I's relationship together when we decided we wanted to start a family. We had been married a few years and we were ready to have our first child. After a couple years of trying to get pregnant, there was still no baby. We started questioning the situation and assumed "there must be something wrong" because we want a baby. "God, give us this baby!" became the feeling we both frequently had . We didn't have an answer and soon started having issues with each other and the stress levels in our house went to new heights. The reality was, it wasn't our time yet.
We often find being faithful easy to do until our faith is tested. When we encounter an obstacle that is new to us and we don't have a solution, that is when we really must fully submit it to God and trust Him. If we don't, we can start falling apart on the inside. As we start to get frustrated and upset in these seasons, the things around us start becoming the target of our frustration. We can become impatient and jump to drastic measures to try and "make right" what we feel is a wrong situation we're in.
God allows the situation because he's preparing your garden for something greater and if you weren't tested, you couldn't handle that which you’re seeking from God to begin with. In these times of doubt, it's critical to remember Jesus knows our situation and will allow trials to happen right now in order to make us better in the long run. Some things will never make sense to us. That's where faith comes in. If we believe He has our best interest according to His will on our life, then we must trust in the outcome.
