21 Days To A Teenager’s Spiritual Change

DAY 14 OF 21

Do Not Doubt, Just Believe!

When we usually think about faith in something, we mean the intellectual conviction that something exists or is true. Faith in God, however, means so much more! It isn't only about recognizing that God exists. We are supposed to trust Him so strongly that we agree to act according to His words. God never wanted the faith of people to be blind or stupid. It can't be rooted only in tradition, history, or superstition. God wants us to rather get to know Him and consciously decide if we want to trust Him. He reveals His nature through the Bible, which is the Word of God. But that's only the beginning! It is not about reading a book about someone you've never met. God wants us to know Him truly and personally, since He is a person that we can talk to, get to know better, and have a close bond with. And, to be honest, the more we get to know him and the closer we are with Him, the stronger we believe in Him and the more we trust Him. Because faith and trust cannot be separated, they always go together. The more you believe, the more you trust. So, it is good to realize that when God meets you and talks to you, He longs for your faith! He wants us to believe that He loves us and that He wants the best for us. So, TO BELIEVE MEANS TO EXPECT HELP.

Do you believe things will come true when you pray? Trust the all-seeing, omniscient, almighty, gracious, and loving God, who has good thoughts for you - expect His help! If it is necessary, take the roof down, meet Jesus, and watch your problems go away! Trust Him to the extent that you can do the things you wouldn't normally do, and expect good things from God because to trust means to expect help.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you that you teach me faith. Thank you that when I am with you my faith and trust grow. Make me a man/woman of faith, a person that believes no matter the circumstances. Amen.

Challenge: Read a passage from the Gospel of Mark. Try to find a person that needs help and be one that brings this person to Jesus. Pray for this person. Bring them and their problem to Jesus. If there is a need, fight the circumstances and difficulties, so that this person could be free from their problem.
