Some things in life are better when you have a friend to experience them alongside you. A good movie, a nice walk, an exciting victory—all of those things can be better with a friend, can’t they? Well, did you know that Jesus can be that person for us? He is that friend who will go with us and be with us in every circumstance. The nickname “Immanuel” in this verse means “God with us.” God with us—that’s literally who Jesus is! Post this verse somewhere that you can see it this week. Maybe on your mirror, on your lock screen, or in your notebook. Let it remind you that Jesus is with you, all the time and in every way.
