How to Study the Bible: A 5-Day Plan with Jen WilkinSample

Biblical Interpretation
Give yourself permission to fail; give yourself the opportunity to think critically on your own. Keep yourself from deferring to the experts. It doesn’t have to be perfect! Spend some time:
- Paraphrasing the text (Take a passage and rewrite it in your own words)
- Summarizing the text
- Writing down and looking up cross-references that come to mind
Scripture
About this Plan

Over the course of five days, read through the first chapter of the book of James and follow along with video instruction from Jen Wilkin, author of "Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both Our Hearts and Our Minds," as she walks through six helpful ways to study the Bible and let it, as she says, “get under your skin.”
