DAY 2 OF 3

Character & Transformation

Let God lead, guide, and shape your character. Digest His Word and let His Word become engrained in every area of your life. His Blood has the Power to transform you. His Power will set you free. Remember Zacchaeus in Luke‬ ‭19:5-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬? “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.”

Notice, the Bible declares that Zacchaeus was a sinner. The Bible also declares that Zacchaeus was a man of poor character, and his moral reputation was deplorable. Despite Zacchaeus’ past misconduct and his deplorable character and reputation, Christ still called Zacchaeus. When Christ called Zacchaeus down from the tree and stated, “I must abide at thy house”, this was an example of the Gospel being displayed in the flesh — in real time. Jesus Christ who was, and is, God in the flesh, did not come to save those who had a perfect past. Christ came to die for the deplorable. Christ died for the sinner. Christ came to save you.

When Zacchaeus, a sinner, encountered Christ — his life changed forever. Christ came to set you free. Let Christ heal your heart. Let Christ transform you. Let Christ dwell in you. Let Christ dwell through your actions. Zacchaeus’ life was transformed once he had an encounter with Christ. Notice in Luke 19:8, Zacchaeus’ fruit changed once he encountered and received Christ. We can see the fruit of Zacchaeus’ heart through the manifestation of his actions. Zacchaeus repented. Zacchaeus turned. Zacchaeus was set free. Zacchaeus had an encounter with Christ that transformed his life, his character, and his way of doing things — forever. Choose to submit to Christ. Let God transform your heart.
