Epic (Part 3): The Storyline Of The BibleSample

David suffers extreme humiliation because of his son’s rebellion. Absalom even rapes David’s concubines, or slave wives, in the view of all the people. The prophecy Nathan delivered in 2 Samuel 12:11 is fulfilled.
Though David’s sin is forgiven, the consequences of his choices still happen. When we trust Jesus, we can be thankful our sins are forgiven and the eternal consequences no longer exist. However, the relationships we have broken and the injuries we have caused may take longer to repair.

About this Plan

This is part three of a four part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
