[The Love Of God] Steadfast, IrrevocableSample
The Love Of God Brings Out Our Worship
Worship is an essential part of our Christian lives. We worship God in our prayers, in our songs, in our living; we worship God as a sign of thankfulness and awe of who He is and because of how He loves us. Worship is a response from our hearts and souls and spirits to God’s goodness and faithfulness. It is a response to who He is. To His character. He is the only one deserving of our worship.
As human beings, it is a natural need and instinct to worship something. Not necessarily God. Many people who do not know God worship other gods or other things. Sometimes we may not even realize it, but we are worshiping other things instead of God. Our jobs, our families, money, success, material things. We may not be bowing down to them, or singing songs of praise to them, but in our hearts they hold a place that is meant to be only for God.
Worship is a condition of the heart. If we understand the love of God for us, how He will always love us no matter what, then our hearts will always be filled with worship towards Him. It is like when you find out that someone did something good to you, something unexpected, your heart gets all warm and fuzzy and happy, and all you can do is thank that person and say nice things about them. Because you acknowledge what they did for you. The same goes for God. He loves us with an undeserving, inexplicable, unchangeable love every day of our lives. So, it is only natural that our hearts are filled with worship towards Him.
Take a moment and think about the love of God in your life, and all the ways you can thank Him and worship Him with your life. Not only through songs and music, but through the way you live your life, the way you treat people, the way you are with your family and friends, the way to talk, the way you are at work, at school, when you are driving your car, when you are at the supermarket. Think of practical ways that you can worship God with your whole life.
