Worry Weighs You DownSample
Meditate On His Word Day And Night.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8 KJV
Choose not to worry. Choose to meditate on His Word day and night. Let His Word wash your mind. Let His Word purify your thoughts. Let His Word lead and guide you. Let His Word redirect your course. Choose to focus your heart on Him.
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Meditate” is, ‘hagah’ (H1897) which means, “To moan, growl, utter, muse, mutter, meditate, devise, plot, speak, to roar, or to groan” Choose to meditate and think upon God’s Word continually. Choose to speak and to utter God’s Word throughout the day. Don’t mutter about the problem — choose to focus on His Word. Choose to openly declare His Word daily. Choose to declare His Word in every season of your life.
Shift your focus. Shift your thoughts and surrender to God. Shift what you’re worrying about and give it over to God. Shift it over to Him. The more you meditate upon His Word — the less you will exalt the problem. Choose to worship God and not your problem. Choose to magnify God and not your concerns. Choose to exalt God above your cares and fears — and watch God lift the weight of heaviness from off of your life.
Focus on God. You have the choice to either meditate on His Word or the things of this world. Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV declares, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” You choose. Worship God or worship your worries. Choose to worship Christ.
