Daily Bible Reading — Sustained by God’s Word of JoySample
December 9
Introduction
Today’s reading is in the form of a lament, calling upon God to punish the wicked and establish justice for victims of oppression.
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 94:14
The LORD will not abandon his people; he will not desert those who belong to him.

Psalm 94
Reflect
What does the psalm writer ask of God (verses 1-4)? How are the wicked described (verses 5-7)? Reread verses 12-19. What does the writer affirm about God? Have you ever turned to God for comfort when feeling anxious or worried?
Pray
Lord God, whenever I am anxious and worried, you comfort me and make me glad. Your constant love lifts me up, and I know that you will never abandon me. Amen.
Prayer Concern
