Being baptized with water indicated a desire to stop sinning and wanting to turn away from an old way of life. What was John’s message? How is he described? What does he say about Jesus?
Pray
Thank you, God, for your messengers like John the Baptist, who preach of repentance and forgiveness of sins. Help me to see the things in my life for which I need to repent and help me to turn away from sinful behavior. Amen.
