What We Think About GodSample
Before we jump to missions or evangelism. Before we talk about witnessing and hospitality. Before we talk about service and sacrifice, we must address the single biggest issue both Christians and non-Christians have: Who do we believe God is, and what do we believe he is like?
Author A.W. Tozer was right—what we think about God is the most important thing about us, and impacts each decision we make, each relationship we have, each responsibility we hold.
But when we take an honest assessment of the question Who do we believe God is, and what do we believe he is like? how do we answer?
Is he loving and kind? Is he judgmental and critical? Is he near? Far? Holy? Friendly? Everything in between?
Which of the characteristics encapsulates them all and gives us the ability, confidence, courage, and joy to share the greatest news on earth?
In this six-week study, we will explore that question. We will look at the church, the world, and ourselves to get a pulse on where we are at when it comes to our beliefs about God. We will address the role of faith, hope, and love, and take a critical assessment of our own theological understanding of who God is.
Our prayer for you is that by the end of the study you will be more in love with Jesus and more in love with his world that you will live each day with an urgency to share his love with all those you encounter.
Soli de Gloria! To God be the glory.
