The Structure of Kingdom StewardshipSample
Covenant
God has a kingdom controlled by a covenant. His kingdom stewards have been established by Him to manage the various aspects of the outer workings of His rule within this same structure. These stewards are to pledge allegiance to the covenant that belongs to the King and thereafter seek to abide within the parameters set in place through His covenant.
When there are people who choose not to do so and rebel against the covenant, they have set themselves up in opposition to the King. They no longer carry out the role of a kingdom steward, which is to oversee the protection and expansion of the assets God has entrusted to them to manage on His behalf.
Scripture supports this role of stewardship in a myriad of places but one place is found in Deuteronomy 8:18, “But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” In this passage we identify the scope of a steward, but we also identify the purpose God intends as an outcome for functioning within His structure.
When you discover the power of embracing God’s covenant in your everyday choices and confirm its reality in what you think, say, and do, your spiritual existence will become transformed because you are now functioning under God’s kingdom regime. You are operating within the structure of God’s overarching rule.

About this Plan
The definition of a covenant is a divinely created relational bond. Covenants are official, legal, binding, and relational. In this reading plan, Tony Evans talks about covenants and how they intersect with our roles as kingdom stewards. Your proper management of His resources is used by God to “confirm His covenant.” Covenant is to be the defining word of our spiritual existence.
