The Life of Jesus, Part 3 (3/10)Sample
That is completely impossible!
How often have you dealt with things you couldn’t imagine, but happened anyway in the end? When I was younger I ruined my friend's bike one day. What was I going to do? I could never fix this or cover the costs. How was I going to get myself out of this trouble? But I had an idea. My father could repair it. I had faith in him. I don't know how he did it, but he was able to fix the bike really well.
Faith is believing that things can happen that seem impossible. Bigger than your imagination or explanation. This is what happens in this story of Jesus’ life.
A big picnic. 5,000 men. Many women and children. Let’s say at least 15,000 people. A stadium full of people. And Jesus said to his disciples: Feed them….. What? That is not doable. “We have to find several food trucks”, we would say.
Andrew has the key to the solution. A young boy with a little bit of food; a sandwich and some cut up vegetables, maybe. But the boy brought what was needed most: faith. He believed Jesus could use what he brought for greater things.
Jesus did a huge miracle. Bigger than anyone could imagine. Inexplicable, impossible! Read the story.
Now think about your faith in Jesus. What is not possible in our eyes, but when we believe in Jesus, is possible. For instance: Does our life end when we die? Or do we live on because Jesus is promising this?
