Faith for Open DoorsSample
Have Faith
In a recent conversation with a friend, we talked about the faith and courage needed to walk through a door that God opens, especially in times of uncertainty. But then the question came up: How can you be confident God is opening the door? And more importantly how can you gain faith to walk through it?
Satan loves to accuse you. He loves to make you think you have “almost” arrived. He makes moves that distract, detract, and dismantle the good work of God. Even worse, Satan doesn’t stick around and help you pick up the pieces. He simply laughs and pokes you with doubt and fear. Then he goes to his next victim. He knows your habits, he has studied you, and he knows what works.
Satan doesn’t have any new tools in his belt because the old tricks of his trade still work.
But we must remember that God knows more than Satan and as believers we’ve been given the Holy Spirit. How often we forget to invite God into every situation. Here are some truths to know in times of uncertainty:
Satan is sneaky and confusing.
God is clear and concise.
Satan is attractive and seductive.
God is affectionate and good.
So as you pray to know which door to walk through, a more open-minded request is “God, show me how to please You in this situation and what You want me to do?” Then, be expectant for God’s answer!
God responds by His goodness and encourages us to have faith.
Plain and simple. Ask God for what takes more of Him to accomplish. Ask Him to provide what only He can. Have mountain-moving faith when asking. But not only do we ask in faith, we also must have faith to believe He IS working in our life, even when we can’t see Him.
God is for you and not against you.
God is all-knowing and He knows you better than you know yourself.
God is omnipresent and He is with you.
God is Love and God IS loving!
God is Patient and He waits with open arms to welcome us.
God is GOOD and He does good!
When you can’t see His hand, trust His heart for you!
