Vases are made to showcase bouquets of flowers. They are designed to add value to the appeal and lifespan of what they hold. A rusty coffee can has the ability perform the same job as a vase, but it would diminish the beauty of the arrangement and contaminate the water.

God wants to pour fresh favor into our lives! He desires to make all things new, but we can't remain the same and expect newness from Him. Old habits, selfish desires and deceitful thoughts are to be abandoned so we can become pure and fully available for a better future with Him.

We are God's chosen vessel to carry his glory. He formed us in our mother's womb, and He continues to mold and shape us into the likeness of Jesus. The more malleable we are to Him, the greater our capacity to receive fresh outpourings of blessing and wisdom, and showcase His goodness.

Renew yourself today. Take an inventory of the negative behaviors and influences in your life and remove them. Replace those things with life-giving encouragement found in healthy friendships, God's Word, worship music, sermon podcasts and biblical small groups.
