In My OpinionSample

We all long to be seen, heard, and understood. So often, we seem to feel the exact opposite: unseen, unheard, and completely misunderstood. Why is that? Well, it’s probably for a number of reasons, but one of them is that we aren’t good at really listening to one another. We’re so busy thinking about what we want to say or what we think about what the other person is saying that, without realizing it, we stop listening. The result? That feeling we all hate—the feeling that we aren’t important, or heard, or really noticed. Listening is the solution to that!
This week, focus on truly listening to others in an effort to show them you see, hear, and want to understand them.
