GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 1 — CARESample

March 4—It Bears Witness to Outsiders
Read
Matthew 5:16; 1 Peter 2:15-16
Reflect
Our service of love to others will silence the mockers. Those who would scoff at the name of Jesus are taken aback by our good deeds and ultimately will give glory to our Father in heaven. Peter tells us that our good works will be a witness to those who are looking on from the outside.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, John 13:15. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

What have Christians done for the world over the past two millennia? Wherever Christ-followers have gone, the sick have been healed, the poor have been aided, and the disenfranchised have been educated. There have been thousands of hospitals, orphanages, and schools established by Christians over the centuries, and indeed there has been no greater force for good in history than the Spirit-empowered church.
