21 Days of Moving Toward GodSample

Day 18: The Power of Praise
God inhabits the praises of His people. Something
happens in the supernatural when we begin to
open our mouth and declare the praises of God.
When we do that, God establishes His power and authority over our lives, problems, and situations. As long as we are focused on our problems, we give our problem authority over our lives. Instead, we can declare the goodness and power of God and something will shift in the spiritual realm when we do that.
Praise is powerful. When our praise goes up, our
God shows up. In the Book of Acts, it wasn’t Paul &
Silas singing that made the prison shake. God
inhabiting the prison is what made the prison
shake. The chains were strong enough for Paul and
Silas, but they weren’t strong enough for God.
What you are praying and fasting for may feel too
big for you, but it’s not too big for your God. When
God steps into that place, it cannot keep you back or Him back.
The power of our praise is found in the power of
our God, He will draw near to us with all of His
power and glory. When we praise God, we remind
ourselves who He is—Almighty God, Elohim, Maker of Earth, and His Kingdom stands alone above every power and above every throne because that is who He is! When you declare who He is, He will show up in your life. He is on your side fighting your battle for you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
When we move, something powerful happens.
