Discovering The Power And Love Of Jesus
No matter who we are, life is full of ups and downs. There are good times and hard times, choices and rules, occasions for celebration and moments of desperation. What we do and who we turn to in these ups and downs can make all the difference in the world.
In this passage we are introduced to a young girl and a woman who have very different stories but find themselves in similar circumstances. One of them, a dying twelve-year-old whose dad was a leader of the local synagogue, came from a family that would have been respected and valued in the community. The other, a woman who had suffered from constant bleeding for twelve years, was a social outcast who was poor and considered ‘unclean’ by her community. Both were in desperate need of help. Both were dramatically changed by the power and love of Jesus.
By looking at the way Jesus handled these circumstances we can learn a lot about who God is, what He is truly like, and how He wants us to respond to Him. Jairus and the woman both took a step of faith towards Jesus, and we all have that same opportunity in our lives today.

About this Plan
Have you ever stopped to think about faith? And what is faith anyway? Does faith actually make a difference to our lives? The Bible has a lot to say about faith. Through exploring the story of Jairus and the sick woman in Mark 5:21-43, we will discover how Jesus responded to their faith, how powerful and loving He is, and investigate how faith in Jesus can impact our lives today.
