It is FinishedSample

It is finished. It could be understood in a negative context. We say phrases like, "I am ruined." "It is all over. "I will never recover." Or "I give up." Jesus did not intend these thoughts with His phrase.
He meant "It is finished" as a call of triumph. His saving work is completed. Because of His complete sacrifice on the cross we have forgiveness of our sins. We have redemption. We have atonement. Jesus is declaring Sin has been defeated. Death has lost it's power. Victory is in our hands now.
Only Jesus has the power to say these things on our behalf. Only Jesus can say "It is finished" and new life emerge.
Today consider the sins you still struggle with. Embrace Jesus forgiveness and start new in His power.
