Take Your Stand

Did you know you are an important warrior in God’s Kingdom? Yes, you are just as much of a warrior as Joshua, David, and even Deborah. Have you ever noticed the posture of someone who is going into battle? They stand tall and confident. Their confidence shows because they have trained and prepared themselves to confront the opposition, and win. How are you taking the time to train yourself today?

In the book of Ephesians we learn there is an armor of God and we are to put it on (and never take it off).  But did you know armor is often quite heavy and in order for it to not wear us down, we need to build up our muscle and strength. We grow strong in the Lord by being bearing good fruit including generosity, joy, and self-control, and we put His armor on to protect us beginning with the breastplate of righteousness and ending with the sword of the Spirit.

Physically, we must remain strong too. Take time during your day to exercise to stretch and work on the body God has given you. Just like there are multiple ways to grow your faith including prayer, praise and worship, and giving, expand your workout options to weight training, aerobics, and walking.
