Raise Me Up

Jesus’ love always leads from death to life. Just when the situation looks and feels hopeless, he bends low and raises us up to set us free—gentleness and power flowing in perfect synchrony.

It may look to you and everyone else that your hopes and dreams, or maybe a relationship or a career, have died, but Jesus always has the last word. He knows exactly how to pick up the broken pieces and breathe life back into them. If you find yourself in a situation like this, first hold the lifeless situation loosely and offer it to the Lord. Sometimes we hold things so tightly, we aren’t aware that the Lord has something better. Be sure that what you so desperately desire isn’t second best. If you have a clear word that this is his will, lay the remains before him and let praise fill the atmosphere. As you wait, rest. Believe. See with the eyes of faith and expect your deliverer to raise you up!

Jesus, as I release all of my frustrations and questions to you, flood me with the knowledge of your will. I’ll do my part to follow your lead, putting faith into actions or stepping back and letting go. I trust you.
