DESIRED SWITCH

It can appear as if the obstacles of life are permanent because of the hurt, pain, regret, and delayed desires one has experienced for countless years. Enduring pain and constant ridicule can weigh a person down and the hope of change in one’s current condition can seem like a distant dream.  During those challenging times, it can be hard for a person to encourage themselves, especially when enemies oppose, mock, and embarrass the very desire they are believing God to birth out of them.  

Encountering someone who already acquired the very thing you are believing for is an obstacle within itself and it would be so remarkable if God divinely switched your desires into physical manifestations upon our request. But, God has a purpose and a plan for the God-honoring desires we seek to birth that will honor Him.  God knows what He is doing with our desires and He is aware of the timing even when things don’t make sense to us.  Our aim is to trust that God will switch the situation. 

In scripture, we read about Hannah, a woman who desired to give birth to a dream of hers. Hannah was one of Elkanah’s wives. Elkanah loved Hannah who at the time had no children, but his other wife Peninnah provoked, irritated, and embarrassed Hannah because the LORD left her childless.  Hannah desired to give birth to her desire which was a child but year after year, things didn’t change.  

Hannah’s desire was so strong that she prayed to the LORD to bless her with a son, promising to dedicate her son to the LORD all the days of his life.  Time went by and then the Divine Switch occurred.  The LORD blessed Hannah to give birth to a son, and God additionally exceeded her expectations because later Hannah gave birth to three more sons and two daughters.  

God had a plan for Hannah and it was all in His timing, because the son that Hannah would dedicate to the LORD had a call on his life, that God already knew about. At times when we feel that our desires are taking too long to birth, we must trust that God will manifest our desires and switch our life at any time.  

Be encouraged because God can bring about a divine switch in your life and make sure your desires are exceedingly and abundantly fulfilled.
