Reflect

How was the promise made by Jesus in Acts 1:8 fulfilled? The believers were in a prayer meeting when the Spirit was poured out on them. Everyone who was present was filled with the Holy Spirit. They were each empowered to be a witness! When the Holy Spirit was poured out on them, they began to speak boldly.

Engage

Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:

· What does it say about God?

· What does it say about us?

· Is there a promise to trust?

· Is there a command to obey?

· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?

· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
