Day 2: Defeat the Virus with a Greater Virus 

How do you defeat the virus of fear? With a greater virus. Did you know if you were to be bitten by a snake, that the serum to heal you is made from the same venom that bit you? This scientific phenomenon is similar to how vaccines are made for viruses. The cure for a virus is a greater virus. 

The same thing that brings the curse, is also used to bring the blessing. That’s why I can tell you in full confidence-- yes, maybe the enemy meant it for evil but God will turn it for good. The same venom that tried to curse me, God used to bless me. 

It’s only the fear of God that has the power to defeat the fear of everything else. When we are taken up by the glory of God‘s power, His word, His presence, and His victory over sin and death, there is no place for the fear of anything else to remain in our lives. Scripture makes it clear, the fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. This is not a time to worry, we need to walk in wisdom. 

With every virus is a crisis and with every crisis is an opportunity for the Church to rise up. Now is a time for us to act as the hands and feet of Christ and for leaders to emerge. Don’t let fear hold you back from stepping out into all that the Lord has for you. Now is the time! The world needs your voice. Allow the virus of fear to be overtaken by the overwhelming fear of the Lord. 

Pray with me today: “Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are working all things for my good. I believe that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. As I fix my eyes upon You, I pray that You would grant me wisdom in all things. Instead of operating from a spirit of worry, help me to walk in wisdom. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.”
