Graves Into Gardens: Restoring Hope in Dead Places

DAY 4 OF 8

MY TESTIMONY

If I’m not dead, You’re not done

Greater things are still to come

Oh I believe

Your long-term relationship comes to an end.

You just bought a new house and then lost your job.

You went to the doctor and they found something concerning.

If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Could anything else go wrong?” you’re not alone. Situations have a way of making us believe that the storm we’re in will last forever.

That’s simply not true.

Job is the perfect example of constant adversity. The enemy assumed that Job would curse God once everything was taken from him. So God allowed Satan to test Job’s faithfulness. He lost his children, his riches, and was plagued with sores — all at once. Even his wife told him to curse God and die.

Even then, Job stayed faithful. He fell on his knees and worshipped God. He believed the Lord was still there with him.

Job’s resolve isn’t our typical response. When we lose something dear to us or find our lives taking a turn we never wanted, we question, place blame, and lose sight of who God is.

Even in the most impossible situation, Job made the decision to trust that the Lord saw his pain, loved him, and would be his rescue. He chose to worship during his struggle and his praise led to his healing, his blessing, and an incredible story.

It’s not over for you! The breath in your lungs signifies that God isn’t done with you yet. He has a plan and there is someone who needs to hear the triumphant testimony that your story holds.

When life is weighing on you, focus on your praise instead of your problem. Choose to trust in God’s purpose instead of your pain.

Greater will be your victory. Greater will be your testimony. Greater will be your blessing.

Day 3Day 5

About this Plan

Graves Into Gardens: Restoring Hope in Dead Places

The enemy wants you to think that it’s over –– that your disappointments, failures, and struggles will bury you. But God’s not finished with you yet. He can turn disappointment into hope, failure into faith, and struggle into victory. He’s a God who turns graves into gardens –– and He wants to do it for you.
