Believe and Concede
The definition of concede means to surrender or yield; to give up, usually unwillingly (Merriam-Webster, 2020). If we are honest, there have been many things that we have had to concede while following Christ; and if we are being really honest- we may not have been so willing initially. Be it our desires, possessions, family, relationships, passions, overall- our will. These things are not always easy to just completely render control of, but if we say that we trust God- it is necessary. In our stance of believing, it is essential that our focus and heart's posture is aligned with God's plan for our lives and not our own.
We must concede/yield to God's plan and believe that he will grant us things we ask for that are in alignment with His will. Furthermore, no matter the challenges that we face, we can believe that God will either work it out, or provide us with the problem-solving tools to navigate our way through. Why? It is because we are in the safest place in the entire world- the will of God. Let's take a look at Job's story.
At the very beginning of his time of suffering, God allowed it (Job 1:8-12). He underwent a series of unfortunate events, including a decline in his health. Yet, though Job was suffering, he declared that his present circumstance and discouragement from his peers will not stop him from conceding to God and the plans that He established for his life. Job stood firm in his faith in God's capability to deliver him, but respected God's sovereignty to believe in following the path God laid before him.
Like Job, we must demonstrate an unwavering trust in God to believe Him and concede/surrender to His plan for our lives.
Affirmation: I align my will with God's will for my life.

About this Plan
As believers, it is essential that we put into practice more of just that- believing. God has given us an identity and purpose for our lives and its our responsibility to align our will with the things that God has declared and desired for us. So this will require action in faith. This 3-day devotional will focus on three ways to activate our belief, making us completely accessible to God.
