Perfect Love
This song celebrates the perfect love that we find in God as His children. Can you imagine a love that is whole, a love that is pure, a love that lacks nothing? Such is the love available to us through our heavenly Father. What an amazing picture of a perfect love that has the ability to expel all fear! The Bible tells us that when we are scared and fearful, it is because we have not fully experienced God’s perfect love.
Is there an area of your life where you have been living in fear of retribution? Maybe you have fears about the future because of things you’ve done or things that have been done to you. Close your eyes and use your imagination to picture what it might look like to be completely engulfed in perfect love. A love that doesn’t judge, that has no agenda, that doesn’t blame, that wholeheartedly accepts. Do you feel yourself resisting this love or running towards it? Allow the Holy Spirit to take away any concerns you might have as you let go and let your heart find its home in God’s perfect love.
