Restless

DAY 6 OF 7

Some of us are restless and we need to find rest in Jesus. Others of us think we are restless, but you just need to make a move. At different times in our life, we find ourselves scared to death to make a decision, pursue a relationship, follow after Jesus, talk to our neighbor, or call that long, lost friend that we hurt years ago. We toss. We turn. We find ourselves restless.

Jesus’ call on our life isn’t just a continual nap time. He tells us to go. He tells us to pursue. He tells us to act. He tells us to love. There are days we need to rest in Jesus, and then there are days we need to be like Jesus. You have heard the saying, “fake it till you make it,” right? Sometimes, to get out of the restlessness of life, we need to start doing meaningful things. After a long car ride of doing nothing, you are exhausted. After a Saturday of bumming it around the house, you are tired more than ever. Maybe you are tired and restless, because you have filled your life with meaningless things. Jesus’ call on our life is one of meaning, one of purpose and one that will make you alive more than ever!

Our rest in Jesus, propels us to live a life that will bring hope to everyone around us. John 15:8 says, after you abide in Christ, “prove to be my disciples.” Maybe you are restless because you haven’t found your purpose. Maybe you are restless because you haven’t “bought in” to your call. Let’s go on an adventure and watch our restlessness turn into an everlasting reward.

About this Plan

Restless

Do you ever feel tired? Do you lack energy? Do you get restless, constantly squirming around, can’t find comfort anywhere, with anything, or with anyone? Maybe you are in a continual rhythm of stress. It’s constant. But if you’re honest, you actually thrive on it. But is this the life you want to live? Can you sustain this pace for another day, week, or year? You're rest-less.
