The Way of the Upright

“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.” Proverbs‬ ‭15:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God examines your heart. ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭16:7‬ ‭ declares, “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” God prefers a pure heart. Choose to give your heart to God. Let His voice lead you and guide you. Let His word direct you. His word is His way. 

His way directs the paths of the righteous and the ways of the ungodly are not so —  their way will perish. Psalms‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭ declares, “For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Choose to follow God. Let His word guide your footsteps. Proverbs‬ ‭15:29‬ ‭declares, “The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”

Psalms‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭declares, “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Keep your hands clean and your heart pure. Promotion is in His hands. Power is in His hands. Authority is in His hands. Enlargement is in His hands. Influence is in His hands. Surrender your ways to Him and He will direct your footsteps. Submit your ways to Him and He will direct your path. Surrender your heart to Him and He will draw nigh unto you. 

Psalms‬ ‭20:7‬ ‭declares, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Choose to trust in God over the material things of this world. Choose to trust in the Creator of heaven and earth. Don’t put your trust in things that will decay, corrupt and rust — choose to surrender to the Everlasting God., for He has no end.
