God Is Who He Says He Is
God is still God, and he is mighty in working miracles and wonders! He is still our healer, and he wants to show himself strong on behalf of those who trust in him! Great supernatural workings took place in the New Testament church without any perversions, advertising, showmanship, or any person claiming all the power and authority.
We have almost 20 centuries of written testimony by Christians that span generation after generation of godly fathers who have passed down to us unshakable proofs of God’s love. Let us look for his exceeding mercy and love and recognize who He is!
After all is said and done and all the sermons have been preached on hope, it comes down to this: Are we willing to commit all into his hands, rest in his Word, and stand without wavering in the love of God, fully convinced his promises to you will be fulfilled?
Positive thinking won’t make problems go away and “confessing” that these problems don’t really exist doesn’t change a thing. What is the cure? There are two absolutes that have brought me great comfort and help:
1. God loves me. He is a loving Father, wanting only to lift us out of our weaknesses.
2. It is my faith that pleases him most. He wants me to trust him.
Don’t allow any kind of bad news to make you afraid. Our God is still on the throne, and all things still work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
