Will You Be My Neighbor?Sample

Have you ever tried to use a flashlight outside in the middle of the day? Probably not. Who needs a flashlight when the sun is illuminating everything outside? Flashlights are most necessary at night when it’s dark.
In the same way, we as Christians are called to be the flashlights for our neighbors and in our communities. Sometimes it can be easy for people to spiritually stumble and fall in the darkness because of uncertainty, lack of direction, and fear. As flashlights of God’s love, it’s our mission to help those who are stumbling in any way we can. In Matthew 5:14, Jesus says “you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden”. You are set apart, and every effort you make to light up your community by showing & sharing God’s heart is so important!
Let’s be the bold, unhidden, shining lights for God's kingdom here on earth!
Action Item: Think about any ways that you may be hiding your light. Write down how you can change those ways. What more can you do to show your community the light that is the Holy Spirit within you?
About this Plan

This plan will focus on what it means to be a "neighbor" in the current culture in which we live. Written by three high school students, this plan will help students focus on what the Word of God says about being neighbors and how we can practically show the love of Christ in our everyday lives.
