You Are Enough: 3 Day Devotional

DAY 1 OF 3

DAY 1: KNOW IT FULL WELL

Believe it or not – it is fact. In a world that tells us that we are not enough until we have the right personality, have abs of steal, all the wrinkles are hidden away, the right job, the perfect family, the so-called flaws and faults are either changed or injected until they are gone.

Psalm 139:14 tells me that I should be praising God when I look in the mirror, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that his works (of which I am one!) are wonderful. Today you need to know that you are enough, you are fearfully and wonderfully made! And you have to know that full well! Something is going to shape your identity, what shapes yours? Is it the way you look, the way you dress, your business success, what you do,  Instagram, magazines? Your identity should be founded on the fact that God made you and as He was intricately putting all the details of you together, He was making something wonderful! He made your brain to think the way it does, He made your face to look the way it does, He made your personality to shine the way it does, He made your likes and dislikes and He absolutely loves them all. Nothing needs to be changed - you are loved, fearful and wonderful right now!

So today as you meditate on this verse, don’t let the world tell you who you are or your inadequacies. Today you tell the world, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made and shout back - I AM ENOUGH!

The feeling of inadequacy at times feels like it will never go away, whether you are a successful business person, a brilliant parent, winning awards, or just in the routine of life, it feels permanent. But we are not people of the world, we are people of the Word and there are some truths that we can stand on to ensure that we know that we are enough for Him.
