The Lord is Kind

Romans 11:6 (NLT)

AND SINCE IT IS THROUGH GOD’S KINDNESS, THEN IT IS NOT BY THEIR GOOD WORKS. FOR IN THAT CASE, GOD’S GRACE WOULD NOT BE WHAT IT REALLY IS—FREE AND UNDESERVED.  

When we think about God's grace and all the things, He does for us, it is simply because He is kind. It has nothing to do with what we have done. It has everything to do with who He is. We are saved and made righteous because of the kindness of the Lord. The Lord is friendly and generous and wants us to come to Him for everything we need. 

Apply:

Today, when you go to God, think about that fact that God is kind. He is our friend. Go to him knowing that He is generous.  

Pray:

Dear God, thank you for being so kind and friendly toward me. I choose to come to you in confidence because you are generous. Help me to display this same love, compassion, and kindness to others. In Jesus' name, amen.
