[Certainty In The Uncertainty Series] The Plan of God and Response of ManSample
Our response to God’s plan accomplishes much
In life, there are moments in which we are challenged and called to act. Our response to that calling puts us in a position through which God can be glorified, and the destiny of others can be forever changed. Such moments are to be embraced and cherished. The instant you align yourself with God’s will and plan, you get to enjoy the privilege of saying, “Here I am, Lord. Use me!”
When Jesus asked His disciples to fetch Him a donkey and a colt, they did as He commanded (Matthew 21:6). Their obedience also allowed the owner of the animals to become part of God’s plan because it took three people to fulfill the prophecy. Their response was, “Yes, Lord; my resources are Yours.”
I wonder how many times we have had the opportunity to become part of God’s plan, and have not even realized it. One day in heaven, we will understand a lot of things that we do not stop to even consider on earth; how our resources and gifts, as little and insignificant as they may seem, can become part of something far more significant than what we can dare to imagine.
God’s thoughts and plans are far beyond anything we can imagine. In the book of Isaiah, God puts it like this, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts… And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” He goes on to say, “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it” (55:8, 11 NLT).
Can you see how your "yes" to God will always produce fruit and accomplish everything He wants? His will prospers everywhere. All we have to do is listen to His word and say, “Yes Lord, here I am, use me!" Consider God’s design behind every single opportunity He puts before you to bless those around you. Be ready to listen to His voice and obey. One single act, as simple and even ludicrous as it may seem, in God’s hands, will accomplish much. How are you going to respond to God’s plan?
