Weak Is the New StrongSample

Weak Is the New Strong

DAY 5 OF 10

Do you consider your prayer life strong? Why or why not?

Many who have met me and heard about my faith in God and see that I’m in a wheelchair assume that I’ve always had a strong prayer life. It’s obvious that I can’t do as much physically so the assumption is I make up for this by praying. But the truth is my prayer life has been weak most of my life. This has been evident in my inconsistency in prayer, unintentional praying, doubtful prayers, and faithless acts. It’s comforting to know God knows our humanity. In God’s Word we see that our faith ignites God’s power. God, being all powerful and boundless, knows we live in a world that is bound and weak. How awesome it is that He gives us two not so secret agents whose mission is to help us pray. When we are weak and do not know how to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. Also, one of the many awesome outcomes of Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension is that now he is interceding for us too! How does it feel to know that God loves you so much that He even gives you help in your weakness to pray for help? Now, we, in our weakness, can confidently approach God’s throne in prayer.

How will your daily life be different now knowing you have help in your weaknesses to pray?

About this Plan

Weak Is the New Strong

What if you didn’t have to hide your weaknesses anymore? Todd Lollar was never given that option. Slow-moving, slower-talking, cerebral-palsied, and wheelchair-bound, Todd’s physical weaknesses were always apparent. Escaping them was impossible. This plan is based on Todd's book, Weak Is The New Strong: God's Power In You. Discover on this biblical journey how your deepest weaknesses can be your greatest strengths.
