Love God Greatly: Growing Through PrayerSample

SOAP – Acts 9:40
Peter prayed in faith to God that He would raise Tabitha, one of the faithful Christians, from the dead. This resuscitation is one of the rare miracles documented by Jesus’ followers. Yet, there is great power in prayer. If Christians truly believed that God heard and answered each of our prayers, church prayer services would be packed from dusk until dawn. We often forget that the very power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, is alive in the life of a believer. When we act in faith on that belief, we will see miracles happen every day.

What needs to be resurrected in your life? A dead relationship, a discarded dream, a hardened heart, a forgotten plan, a broken promise? Will you begin today to pray for God’s resurrection, restoration, and life in that area trusting that He has all power and nothing is impossible for Him?

Father God, You are the God of my impossible. Lord, will You penetrate those areas of my life where I have lost hope and lost faith. Lord, please demonstrate Your mighty power and faithfulness to resurrect the broken and failed things in my life so that You may be glorified. Help me to peacefully let go of anything that is not in Your will for me to have. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
