Love God Greatly: Growing Through Prayer

DAY 26 OF 54

SOAP – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Peter encourages the believers in the churches of Colossae and Thessalonica to pray without ceasing, to endure in prayer, and to have a thankful attitude as they endure. When believers trust God’s love, God’s timing, and God’s plan for them, believers can wait patiently for Him to do mighty works in their lives. We can pray without anxiety or doubt, resting in the knowledge that God has us exactly where He needs us to be for our own good and for His divine purpose.

What circumstance have you stopped praying for because you have lost hope? What situation seems out of reach from the hand of God? Will you begin again today praying to God for His divine presence and action in those areas?

Father God, You are the God who sees me and all that I endure. Lord, help me to remain persistent and diligent in my prayer to You. Remind me that nothing and no one is out reach of Your mighty grasp. Help me to meditate on Your love so that I can rest assured that You only have good plans for my life and all things will work out for the good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Growing Through Prayer

Most of us know prayer is speaking to God, but it’s so much more than that. It is communion with God - the experience of fellowship that allows us to draw near to Him and find help when we need it. Join us in our study as we seek to answer questions like, “How should we pray?”, “What should we pray for?” and “Does God hear our prayers?” PLEASE NOTE: This plan is setup to be five days per week with two days off. You will notice two days each week without content.
